Tools and Ingredients
- Air fryer
- Resealable plastic bag
- 250g chicken breast
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- Salt & Pepper
1Cut the chicken breast into nugget-sized pieces. Add the chicken pieces to a resealable plastic bag along with the flour. Seal the bag and give it a good shake to make sure the chicken nuggets are evenly coated.
2Prepare your batter station. Beat the eggs. Next to the eggs, place a bowl with the breadcrumbs. Season the breadcrumbs with some salt and pepper and then mix the olive oil in with the breadcrumbs.
3One at a time, dip each floured piece of chicken into the egg and then into the breadcrumb mixture until it is well-coated.
4Put the nuggets into your air fryer basket. Set the temperature to 330°F and cook for 10 minutes.
5Shake the basket or turn the nuggets over using tongs.
6Set the temperature to 390°F and cook for another 5 minutes or until the nuggets are golden brown.
Tips and considerations:
Optionally, you could skip the plastic bag and just flour each piece of chicken by hand.
You might want to try seasoning the flour as well, with salt and pepper or even a teaspoon or so of garlic powder.
If your nuggets are looking pretty dry at the 10-minute mark, add a little bit of olive oil for the last bit of cooking.
